This is a unity package displaying a collection of visual effects built with unity's vfx-graph for game development

Unity visual effects packaged library

This unity packaged reusable visual effects library, developed for Soggy Ink Games, demonstrates the adaptability of the visual effects graph in unity. Here I created a collection of graphs with exposed variables to alternate, colors, signed distance field textures, speed of particle animations and added optional interactability of variables to the position of the player’s hands in a VR.

  • Leveraging Unity’s Engine as the core framework
  • Used Visual Effects Graph to make various visual effects
  • Exposed switchable Signed Distance Field texture variables to alternate effects
  • Built Blender python scripts to generate 3D models from 2D icons, to turn those 3D models into SDF (signed distance field) textures and build animated visual effects in those shapes

The visual effects are all named after famous inventors and scientists =)
